Is there an easy way to tell by looking at a 1099-R if you did a back door Roth IRA correctly? I made a mistake when filling out paperwork that my brokerage caught, but want to confirm everything was executed fine

I have talked with them, but it’s a small firm and they’re the ones who told me to fill out the forms (the incorrect way) initially, so I’d rather be safe than sorry

Not really. You are just making a withdrawal from your traditional Ira. What paperwork did you need to fill out for a backdoor Roth IRA?

I went over the limit Midyear so I had already made a Roth contribution. So I had to:

* set up a traditional
* do a recharacterisation
* do a conversion

All of which requires separate forms. I was told by an agent (mistakenly) to fill out additional forms for steps that weren’t needed (eg an extra Re characterization) so that took more time too

Yeah I’d be curious about this too. I did the same thing last year but I didn’t have any paperwork to fill out. I just told my old company to withhold 20% for taxes and the rest was sent to me via check made out to my brokerage.

Not sure what you are describing but it doesn’t sound like a backdoor Roth IRA

I'm looking for a 3 day a wk (8, 10 or 12hr shift) in review, quality review, UR/UM, pre-auth, and/or appeals. I was under contract performing medical record reviews for Medicare & Medicaid claims. I also have experience in revenue cycle (billing, appeals, etc). Additionally, I ran a surgery center as an Administrator and have dabbled in all aspects of running the company. Does anyone know of any places hiring remote on a flex schedule? I work volunteering 2 days a week and need flexibility.

Every time I pull an all nighter my room ends up being a trash can. 🤦🏻‍♀️

24, a decent amount of savings in the bank. I’m sort of interested in buying a property in the next few years.
Is this a good or bad idea? I live in Ny area, so obviously the city would probably be too expensive to buy any property. Would probably have to buy further out in westchester, Long Island, maybe connecticut or NJ. If I buy, should I be living there? Or should I rent it out until I’m ready to live there (assuming it’s a bit further from the city). Very early stages of just thinking

Per what I'm reading the interest rate is 9.62% if I buy through Oct 2022. It's a 30 year investment, but I can withdraw after 5 years without 3 month penalty.

Questions:
(1) Is the interest rate fixed or variable over the term of the bond?
(2) Assuming 9.62% is annual return but definitely want to confirm 🤣
(3) Do most people actually keep it in 30 years? I'm looking at 5 years for now and re-assess
