I’m not sure if I took on too much this year. I’m going through a divorce with 2 young kids, took up a new job in a hyper growth start up, moving houses and most recently I was diagnosed with pre-cancer and am going into a surgery. I seemed to be doing a lot but yet I feel like I’m not getting the groove at anything. Especially at my work, I know I can do more and I’m a rockstar. At this moment, this rockstar feels like she’s on a crash post getting high.

I had 2 rounds of interviews with EY GDS. Followed by HR reaching out to get documents and relevant information. Please mind HR discussion has not happened yet.

Its been more than a week since there is no response from HR side/GDS team.

Does this mean that they did not consider me? Because I believe that HR asking for docs is a clear indication that I cleared my interviews.

A female friend of mine recently received a settlement in a sexual harassment action against her employer during mediation. Upon receiving her (female) attorney’s final bill she was blown away to discover that her attorney charged her almost five times what the attorney estimated she would charge for the mediation. I applied for a marriage based adjustment of status and also did concurrent filling for EAD, I just got the update that my EAD will be shipped out. Does this mean that my adjustment of status was also approved? I don’t understand why they would issue an EAD if they hadn’t approved or reviewed the whole application?

Any industry or consulting fish able to comment on transitioning to investment banking associate? Have an offer and am worried about the hours and intensity. Have enjoyed the people but associates have told me to expect 80-90 hour weeks and on call.

Anyone have actual intel on how comp (particularly bonus structure) works for mid level hires (vice president, director) into Corporate Functions (for example, legal, executive office, etc.) at BBs?

Public sites like Glassdoor are essentially useless for these roles and WSO seems to focus only on comp for client facing roles like IB, T&S, etc
