TS/SCI cleared comp sci senior comparing post-grad offers from Deloitte as a GPS solutions engineering analyst (95k base +12.5k 2 year bonus) and Booz Allen Hamilton as a junior software engineer (100k base no bonus). I would like to program and have a hybrid work environment. Which company best facilitates this in your opinion? Is it possible to move into a remote contract if hired for SCIF work at Booz?

appellate attorney. You mostly only talk to the original trial lawyer, write a solo brief while being left alone, and then several months to a year+ later have a brief oral argument. Client interaction not necessary nor do you have to speak to OC much
Doc review lawyers?
Westlaw librarian too!
Doc review. Contract attorney/ counsel on call.
They're not completely secluded but pretty close.

Appellate lawyers have to actually go to court—unless you’re just writing briefs. If you want zero interaction, doc review seems to be your option. Though I think I should rather slit my wrists than do that. But I’m an extrovert. It takes all kinds of people to make a world, though, right?
We should all leave... But we're also masochists, so...
Patent prosecution is pretty close. Still have to interact with engineers and USPTO examiners, but they want to interact with you even less than you want to interact with them.

I am living this life and loving it! Fully remote patent prosecutor, good pay, lots of interesting tech I get to research and work with all the time, very stable hours, lots of independence. 10/10

There’s 2-5 GlassDoor positions right now for attorneys to accept fully remote, generally long-term but temporary roles handling such projects as a preparing a massive federal filing in certain courts (one in N Dist GA, 1 in CA; different jobs); several for fully remote document review but the review is on computer DBs specific to the companies plus requires training on certain other programs — sounds like a PITA; and a few corporate transactional positions under HIGH responsibility/pressure.
Corporate governance / entity formation lawyers. Can handle 99% of all communications over email. Some big law firms have these folks for their large funds clients

I work fully remote and don’t talk to many people… but I do talk to partners I work with sometimes.

Doc review. Enjoy that experience.
I recently transitioned into a fully remote claims handling role. I mostly handle legal malpractice claims from the insurance side. I evaluate the claim for coverage and then manage the defense. I have to talk on the phone but not that much, and I never leave my house. I love it. My legal practice largely involved professional liability and coverage, which fits perfectly with what I’m doing now.
