Is there any branch of the service that you can join without having to get vaccinated against Covid-19?

I don't think so

pretty sure it's required for all of the branches now

There are some approved exceptions, not many though. At this point it's just if you have a valid medical or religious reason for not getting it. That's how it is in the Coast Guard at least, not sure about the other branches. https://www.uscg.mil/Coronavirus/Information/Article/2753898/mandatory-vaccination-for-military-members-faqs/

There have been a lot of lawsuits over this, but if you want an exemption it is a serious uphill battle, and the army really doesn't like treating some people differently than others. It makes sense in a way but I still don't think it's right. The vaccine doesn't even prevent people from getting the disease. And it looks like they're in trouble for being too quick to deny service members' requests for exemptions: https://www.military.com/daily-news/2022/09/19/pentagon-likely-rushed-denials-of-covid-19-vaccine-religious-exemption-requests-watchdog-finds.html

I don't know about the other branches but you're supposed to get it if you're in the army, although you have four different options and you can choose whichever one you want. You can get Moderna, J&J, Pfizer, or Novavax. Here's some info about the options that are available: https://www.usar.army.mil/News/News-Display/Article/3141412/soldiers-now-have-additional-covid-19-vaccine-option/

I have an employee who is very sick with COVID (on life support in the ICU). I would like to do something to support his wife; they have 2 young kids & she’s expecting; I’m sure the stress on her is exhausting. Any suggestions for what would be helpful and appreciated? This is more complicated because they were out of town & he was hospitalized out of state, so it is hard for us to get anything to them in person. Also, I’m concerned about his team members and would love ideas to support them

Hi ladies, I'm in my mid 40s and I think I'm entering peri. I currently have a Mirena but I should replace it again soon, but one more will put me into my 50s(!!) and I was wondering if anyone here knows that they're in peri or menopause without having periods. Is there blood work or something to check? I definitely do not want to have another child accidentally. I've got 5 more years until my youngest is in college and don't want to start over again.

Career wise: if you had to choose between Allstate or USAA which would you choose? It’s both for the same position of unrepresented bodily injury adjuster.

Hey all,

My baby is measuring very big but doesn't seem to be coming on her own, so doctor wants to induce around my due date (I'm 39 weeks pregnant now).

Any risk factors I should take into consideration? Things I should make sure to bring up with my doctor ahead of time? This is my first baby.

I have a prescription for Vyvanse. Even without Vyvanse, I have diagnosed generalized anxiety. On top of that, depression runs in my family. It’s not a diagnosis, but I suspect it’s there. Vyvanse certainly doesn’t help the anxiety, especially when I’m coming down off it for the day. I want to ask my doctors about an anti-anxiety/depression meds, but does anyone here take ADHD meds and those other meds at the same time? I’m worried about the drug interactions/potential physical effects. TIA.

I just learned I was parentified severely, especially emotionally. The discovery came from outside of therapy, but having a place every week to sit down, slow down & reflect def led to it. Being enmeshed with my parents like this was a cause for my anxiety, low self esteem and workaholic, people pleasing tendencies. I'm working on extricating myself and finding my identity again in a way that will be easy on my conscience and values..so I'm learning! Please dont hesitate to go to therapy!...

Sorry for the seemingly stupid question, but what if I decided to have the doctor do an FET without any of the medication (PIO, estrace, etc.). I have a PGT-A tested embryo waiting in frozen state, I just can't mentally prep myself for all the injections. Is there a reason this wouldn't work?

What would you do? I took sick time for half a day about a month or so ago. Couldn’t clock out appropriately because my keyboard had broken right as I was shutting everything down.
