Feel like I should know this but quick state tax question. Assume simple one W2 only. Lets say I work in NY and I live in NJ. Let’s say box 1 income is 70k. NJ state income tax should be around 2.5k. Box 17 (this is withheld amount yes?) for NJ is 0, but Box 17 for NY is 3.5k. I know the tax credit I get for NJ from the NY withholding of 3.5k isn’t dollar for dollar but I should be seeing some amount of refund from NJ/NY right? Why’s turbo tax adding the 3.5k to the 2.5k and saying I owe NJ 6k…

I have a call with the technical recruiter from Facebook for a data engineering position (30min), do they ask TECHNICAL questions as well during this round (it’s the first call of the interview process)?

I am about to close on a property this week, we are buying it as a second property but want to rent on Airbnb.
