Depends on how comfortable you are with a commute! Cleveland is a great city with a lot to offer, but is 30-45 minutes from Akron.

Lived in Akron for 2 years since I went to UAkron for my masters. Great place and great people. Cleveland which is 30 min away has a great night life. Expect for the snow - I’d totally live there again if I get a chance.
Small city lifestyle. If you have a partner and are homebodies, it’s a good lifestyle fit. Limited dating pool + not much to do outside of the usual chain restaurants, etc

What is the potential job and where would you be moving from? Wouldn’t be bad for a short-term stint.
I’m from a suburb between Akron and Cleveland. You can cover Akron pretty quickly in terms of things to do and sightseeing but as someone else said, there’s more fun in Cleveland! Only about a 2 hour drive to Columbus too.
