Is there any reason to lateral from one big 4 strategy practice to another other than a comp bump? Working on great projects at great clients right now with a good network, and up for a promo. I would only do it if the comp bump is >30%, and/or if you can get the title bump with the move (and consequently the appropriate comp). Lateral with no title bump is a sure way to set you back if you're already up at your current firm, unless the comp increase is substantial enough to make up for the promo set back.

Disregard again. I think it is lateral. Stupid companies and their obfuscated titles

As someone who has only worked at EY and has no other work experience or “passion,” how do I begin looking? I’m a high performer in CA with a cpa and working in tax but I don’t feel like I have enough time for myself with all the extra work from people leaving during the never ending busy seasons. I’m in my mid twenties and feel like work is my life. I think I’ll be satisfied with six figures for a while, which I’d be pretty close to after my raise in October anyways, and 40 hour work weeks.
