Is there any relation between the Feedback cycle deadline of 27 Jan and hike/promotion letter? Any idea or guesses

I don’t think so. Mainly because the hikes are expected to take effect from 1st Feb. It’s impossible for our HRs and leaders to assess these feedback within a couple days and make a decision. My 2 cents on this is that this is merely a business tactic from EY to get people to stay. This period is especially busy every year as recruitment drives open up. And considering the era we are in, with the great resignation and all, they had to work with some gimmick to get as many people to say as long as they can. We are all going to be very disappointed with the hikes, if there are any for us.

Well said

Mid year hikes nomination was already sent few weeks back.

No dependency. The lead feedback cycle is independent.

EDIT: industry- Automation, Location: Southern Ontario, Canada Hello, I’m currently a Project Coordinator, but I have been acting as Project Manager across various projects now. My supervisor has stated after a month period they will look at a promotion for me- I have passed that 3 month mark and think I am ready. What is an acceptable salary raise to ask for? I’m thinking g of asking for 20k higher than my current salary(60k), is that outlandish? Thanks

Thoughts on taking a temporary internal rotational? You can keep salary and promotion timeline, then back to the consulting side afterwards. Overall, seems the opportunity would help accelerate long-term career with the firm.

Been here almost a year now at L2 and was an manager equivalent before coming here. I feel like I have 0 insight into what I need to be doing to get promoted? I’m getting mostly 1s, but don’t feel like I have actionable “do X and demonstrate Y and then you can be put up for promotion”. Any advice?

I was heavily recruited to another department in a leadership role and verbally offered the job. It will be a lateral move with a larger ceiling. Is it unreasonable to try and ask for a raise? What about asking for a couple weeks paid administrative leave to start so I can have time between the two jobs to decompress?

Going on a year at an agency in Accenture and I feel like I’m not developing fast enough. I’ve had one main project but I’m waiting around for months to join other projects to reach capacity. They fall through because the client drags things out. I want to work towards a promotion but my manager says I can’t be put forward because I don’t have enough projects under my belt. I can’t control that because the agency sets the work. Any advice? Accenture

An employee came to me in confidence to raise concern about a colleague of hers who speaks often about guns and how many he owns, etc. Based on what she's described, I don't believe this person has been threatened in any way, but it's clear that the situation is making her feel very uncomfortable - especially given recent events. What, if anything, can I or should I do to help? The company is on the smaller side, so there's really no option to move either employee to a different team.

I’ve been an atty for 5 years at a small firm where I started their PI with exp. from the firm I clerked for. Outside of books and seminars, I have no guidance or mentor. Despite this I’ve been somewhat successful ($1-3 Mil/year) but I never stop working. Additionally, the $70K I’ve been paid for the last 3 years has me bitter and burning out. I asked for a raise but was turned down. I feel like less of an investment and more of a cash cow. Am I asking too much? Any advice?

What’s the common range of annual salary raise without promotion?

Can you negotiate higher pay (either at a new job or for a raise) based on your academic pedigree? If so, how can you do this without sounding elitist? Meaning, if an employer possibly picked you as an Ivy League/Top 20 Public flagship university degree holder, how do you acknowledge this in salary negotiations? Especially asking because these people often have more loans compared to someone with an online degree for example.

Hello fishes. I'm an MBA graduate currently working as a digital marketing professional in a mid size consulting firm with 3 years of experience. I am terribly underpaid in my current org at 5.5 LPA after a recent promotion and annual appraisal. Another mid size consulting firm offered me 7.5 LPA but I am asking them around 9 LPA. Am I asking too much or shall I take the offer of 7.5 LPA? Thank you

Has anyone taken classes in valuations and received some kind of credential with just an EA? After a bit of a detour I’m getting my EA this year. I‘ve looked in to a few options, like the CVA, but it looks like I’d have to go to business school or become a CPA. I’m not against either but I don’t feel ready to apply to schools just yet. Wondering if anyone has taken a similarly unconventional route in their careers.

Would you all prefer the title and role of a manager running a team, but make less money, or be an IC with more salary. I currently have an opportunity to go back to an IC role for much more money ($35k more base plus better benefits) than I'm making now as a manager at my current company. Any thoughts or suggestions?
