Is there anyone around here with Data Analytics OR audit background OR both that would be great. I am looking for some ideas in these areas as in what Tools are usually used & how are the team structures etc. TIA

Hey! I am a new Data Analytics Lead as well! I am yet to establish said structures myself too so I am not coming from an expert POV but I would love to brainstorm and bounce off ideas

Recently switched from consulting to industry for this role. Hbu?

What kind of data analytics? I can tell you most common tools are Python/Pyspark, SQL, R, and some places use Alteryx for ETL.

They made it look like they have it all figured out in the interview so i signed up for it🤣

We are implementing a new tool for Continous Control Monitoring thats like a major part of my role's responsibility which i have a grip on totally.
But i do wanna do more than that and that is where i am feeling exhausted like whatelse could be the magic pocket i am missing 🤷‍♀️

If you are looking for solutions with little coding I would recommend checking out alteryx for ETL and tableau for data visualization.

We probably have like 10% of my team using Tableau
Alteryx seems a nice option i am looking into it
The scenario is that i am the only person with DA background in my team I do know SQL, R, Tableau & Power BI. We are currently implementing a cloud based tool for continuous monitoring that uses SQL in back end. I was asked to do some research on if we have any other tools that are more auditor friendly per se & hence the post.

My work recently gave everyone that holds the same title a big bump in compensation. A few days later, another email went out stating they had made a mistake which decreased the raise by $4/hr instead of $6 increase. Can they do that? I work for the government and can’t imagine how they made an error. This email went out to hundreds of employees.
