is there more travel in middle market (GT, BDO, RSM) or Big 4 in audit?

I would think less overall travel since theres more manpower you can usually find someone local to do what needs to be done.

I’m at EY but interned at regional and my friends at regional firm are flying every damn where constantly. Small sample size thougu

Can’t speak for big 4, but I’m in the BDO Dallas office and I’d say at least half of the audit staff have at least one client that requires travel. Now, whether that’s driving to some tiny town two hours away or getting to fly to a fun city, you never know what you’re gonna get

Im in consulting in the Northeast region and I travel about 12 weeks per year, with most of it occurring in summer/fall
