Hello everyone,
I am currently a HR Generalist for a small aerospace company, located in CA. I have been in a generalist role for a little over 4 years now and before that, I did recruiting/safety for about 3 years. I am now looking into getting my HR Certification, but am stuck in between the PHR-CA or the SHRM-CP. Does anyone have any recommendations they can give me?
If you are already at deloitte i would say it’s only worth it if 1) you are getting the degree free or near free (firm/family/scholarships pay for it), 2) you want to make a large change in the type of consulting you do (especially if its a change to a more “prestigious” practice) ie from tech implementation at B4 to MBB strategy, or 3) you get into Harvard/Stanford/Wharton. That’s really the only 3 options I would say make it worth it. Best if you have a combination of the 3.
When I was at TAP, every PPD I spoke to said no
Yeah, to be a bad ass! Most people who don’t have an MBA says no. If you get into a good school better opportunities no matter what company! It’s all about your network.
I heard that, in order to reach a certain level at Deloitte, you need an MBA. I plan on going back into consulting, but aiming for MBB.
You absolutely don't need MBA to reach a level at Deloitte. Whomever told you that is wrong.
