Roasted parsnip soup with harissa and frizzled onions for crunch. Lunch is great when you have time to cook on the weekend! Inspired by this https://themom100.com/recipe/harissa-spiked-parsnip-puree/ but I roasted the parsnips first to Carmen Electra a bit. Onions courtesy of Trader Joe’s.

I feel like sauce is the easy part. I just use super lean ground beef, the Whole Foods organic spicy arrabiata, more fresh basil and garlic and some spices.
For “pasta” the kohlrabi or hearts of palm from TJs.

It is. I was buying Raos and they were out one day so I tried it because it’s cheaper and dare I say I like it better.
Raos tomato sauce is great. Low sugar and tastes good.
Second this. They also have a great arribbiata. I also like to do a veggie packed pasta. I sauté eggplant, onion, and garlic.. then add sundried tomatoes, grape tomatoes, spinach, and top it with a little parm. Veggies will help keep you full, and I find you can use less pasta while still getting enough to satisfy the craving ☺️

Make your own. Use a can of crushed tomatoes as the base and add seasoning. No added sugar. This is a trick I learned from weight watchers. Tastes great!

When I buy pasta sauce I look for sauces without added sugar! Whole’s 365 brand has organic no sugar added pasta sauces.
I’ve been using their brand while I work on finding the perfect homemade pasta sauce recipe :)
