Any suggestions on securing an interview with Apple in Austin in a senior quality manager role? I interviewed with them late last year for a role but didn't make it to offer phase. I've been in quality for over 20 years spanning several industries. Just looking to cut thru the applicant pool if anyone can help. Apple

Capgemini I joined sometime back at D1 level , I do technical work most of time like coding, dev, testing etc.
I have worked a lot in my 14 years and still have required skills needed for the work. I don't have energy to slog any further. Moreover I get anxiety when I see junior level people doing same work as me and earning more or same.
I feel cannot sit longer hrs due to back issues and other health issues and family commitments.
Can I change to management side without risking my job .

This is absolutely fine and a good opportunity in tech. Disagree with all the people who say it's "low". ~160k TC that's very liquid for 3 YOE is solid. A promo to senior associate would net 200+ and then M 260+. Could you maybe get a bit more at Google L4 that's a bit north of 200? Maybe, they do prefer more YOE though usually. Most other big/mid-tech will pay around the same as this for your YOE--if you want to go to tech now this is a great option, especially as all the doors are closing quickly now.
If you try startups/pre-IPO (most of which are trying to conserve cash now and freezing/firing), cash comp will be ~100 - 130 if that for your YOE + some paper money.
If you want to stick it out in consulting that's another story.

LinkedIn is a very well respected company in tech and will open doors for you. They have a very diverse business (consumer, B2B services, ads) which should be interesting. Sales strategy & ops is a very portable toolkit and LinkedIn is known being a good training ground for this type of work.
I don’t know why folks are saying it’s low. Seems right in line with most Tech BizOps offers I’ve seen.
That said, you are right in between levels, the Associate role is for folks with 2-4 YOE, Senior Associate is 4-6 years. They’re essentially ignoring 1 YoE.
The comp range is about:
- Associate: $160K all in
- Senior Associate: $185-220K all in
- Manager: $240-$300K
- Senior Manager: $320-$400K
LinkedIn likes to promote fast, so usually get promoted every 1.5-2.5 years.
Thank you for the reply. I accepted the offer !
Which level?
This seems on par to past interviews I’ve done with them, but I would definitely try and negotiate.
Seems low. You will make that at your current firm in no time. Would suggest do another couple of years, get to M and then dip - your base should double at that point. Unless if you really can’t take it anymore
Eh this is a weak offer IMO - consulting should offer significantly higher salary at your tenure and position
Low
Hey OP! I'm interviewing for a similar role at LinkedIn. Could you shed some light on the interview process ? Thank you!
Did you end up negotiating this at all?
