Perfectly normal for ER staff. Probably a great role if you have a good attending.
I love you, SD1 😂
Major red flag. It says they know they have problems and rather than trying to fix them, they just expect everybody to deal with it. I can deal with “Comfortable with ambiguity” because that is common and often a state of being prior to gaining clarity, but chaos? Nah. Means they have no direction or leadership.
Agreed. Seems like a big red flag to me.
Yes. Imagine writing that posting and what kind of hell scape that job must be.
It is a red flag however if you’re intrigued in the role, apply and then probe during the interview and evaluate from there. I work at a company that is growing and there are many changes. Can be frustrating and stressful but overall my work life balance is good and the expectations of me are not unreasonable. When I interview people I ask how comfortable they are with a bit of chaos. Is chaos the best word, probably not, but it lets me see how the person reacts to that and what examples they can provide of navigating similar situations. There are definitely people out there who cannot function unless told exactly how to do something and it’s a good way to weed those out
I said apply if you’re intrigued in the role. If you’re not intrigued, don’t apply. I also clearly said to probe more and evaluate from there. I never said to ignore the red flags and take the job.
Imagine what the original job posting said before someone "polished" it....."It's a shitshow here, so be ready." Uh, let's change that to "comfortable with chaos." Yes! Yes, much better.
I’d rather work someplace where they KNOW it’s chaotic than a place that denies the chaos. I’ve worked for many top agencies—all were chaotic to some degree. And my understanding is that most startups are “building the plane while they fly it”, to quote the cliché.
Lol wut
Run. Lol. But at least they're honest with themselves
I'd go for it. I thrive in chaos 😈
