Hello Gang, I’m on the business side for Walmart right now. Walmart Global Tech recently offered me a role to move to the San Bruno office, but I’d be taking a demotion from L6 to E5. YOE: 8, COMP(200k base, 25% bonus, 100k RSU). Is this competitive in the bay? I have Doordash and Instacart in the pipeline, but no final offers yet.

Stock market is going to zero. I’d sell everything.
Buy the dip. Hospitalizations have peaked.
Markets don't care about covid deaths.

I’m sticking to my usual contributions for now. I’ll ramp up my contribution rate if we go down another 10% probably.
My current thinking is roughly the same.
Haven't valuations been high for years? Market is irrational. I'd continue to invest if you're in it for the long run.

Don’t second mortgage your house to layer in more contributions, but don’t shy away from contributing
Keeping up with my regular contributions and if I have something extra sitting around I'll throw that in as well. The best advice I ever got, from a guy whose FA and wife basically screwed him over through panic selling and then buying back in too late in 2008-09, is to never get cute. Stick with the plan and if you have to work longer (most of us are young so fortunately don't have to worry about that).

To be clear: My default is to continue to just DCA with monthly contributions. I do have some ability to accelerate things though. So my question is about accelerating timing, not about being in vs out of market. Thank you! :)

Stick with an asset allocation that allows you to sleep well at night.

Your response (which was deleted by the system because of rudeness) was about being in vs out of the market. I would humbly suggest you take a break from this app for a bit. I’ve seen you over on the personal investment bowl (obviously you based on tone) — and I don’t think you’re engaging in a professional manner.
What’s your current % or $$$ value contribution for 401K? Are you planning to front load?
Great question. I setup the % so it’s even throughout the year. Maybe I’ll accelerate, but probably only if the market drops another 10% or so. Otherwise I’ll stick to the plan.
