I’m putting my money into VT instead of VTI VXUS bc I really really don’t want to rebalance and want to be hands off. I did research on the tradeoff which was miniscule depending on what the individual wants.

I’m still concerned I’m making a mistake in terms of reaching FIRE even though I max everything I can. Thoughts?
Serious answers only please. I’m just 1 full year into this after some sporadic investments earlier in VTI and VOO. TIA

How do I go about getting a car loan so I can walk into a dealer with the loan already secure, but I don’t know the final selling price of the car? I want to lock in an interest rate now, so kinda “pre-approve” myself for the maximum amount I want to spend, but I will likely not actually spend that much to buy the car. I.e locking in a interest rate for $45k/60mo now, but might only use $35k at time of purchase.

Questions: when we sell stocks, ETF or crypto within an app (like Robinhood Blockfi Coinbase etc), when do we need to manually withhold tax for that amount and how do we decide? When we trade between two cryptos for example, is there any gain realized to be reported? (How would I know this?) If you reinvest in the same app without withdrawing money into bank account, is that still considered gain regardless?
