Who really has a say in whether they want to hire you? I assume the hiring manager as that’s who you’d work with directly but there are additional voices and feedback. How heavily weighted are the rest of the interviews?

Resume question I've had three positions over my career one of which lasted 3 months and that I got fired from, the job search took an additional 2 months. Is it worth it to leave the 3 month stint off my resume? It might be easier to explain getting fired then a 5-month gap I was thinking

Do not put anything on a resume that you can't talk in detail on especially if you claim to know this topic. One you get caught having stuffed your resume with jargon and hype word but don't know anything or very much about it, the interviewer will start probing hard to find not discrepancies and soon you're resume will be in the round filing cabinet with a big no written on it.

Just signed an offer for msft and setting a tentative start date. The manager seems flexible between a 8/1-8/15 start date. I was targeting a 8/15 start date so I could two weeks off and recharge my mental health while keeping my insurance, but the recent slowdowns and news of (very minor) layoffs at msft and other companies like Google have me seconding guessing myself. Presently working as a manager in one of the big 4 technology consulting firms in oracle EPM. Got an interview call for role of application manager. Needed some insights about the four rounds of interview and also the kind of questions that maybe asked as a part of the interview process.

Talked to a LinkedIn recruiter who stated the range for a SM Comms role in the midwest would likely fall in the $140-160k range, w ~15% bonus and she didn’t state rsu’s as I imagine it would depend on experience. I’ve seen similar roles land in the $175-185+ range. Thoughts?
