When I started at a B4, I rolled in my 401k and Roth from a previous employer. Roth was +/- 10k. On the way out, they gave me after tax payment that was LOWER than what I originally rolled in! Turns on they converted my Roth to 401k as PRE-TAX and it appears I’ve never had after tax money given to them! Thank goodness I have my distribution statement but should I be worried? Are there other tax implications I need to worry about? Has this happened to anyone that can give guidance? Thanks.
