Wait, I don’t understand the harm here. They stopped requiring mortgage payments from people? Presumably if you sent them money they still accepted it. So how were customers harmed by that?

Yes, people were blocked from refinancing because of this. Sorry if I posted a bad article. I actually wanted to find one that told the story in the headline, but I read that other article someone quoted and it’s definitely clearer. My bad.

This happened to my brother. He made payments that were never applied and when he called to inquire, they’d put him in forbearance which he doesn’t even need.

This article is much clearer. Thanks

Wow didn’t realize that it goes on your credit like that! I had done this for my rental property as tenant wasn’t able to make make payment and didn’t want late charges til I figured out her situation. I made payments each month still and they automatically extended it so now I’m super worried!!!

The agency I work at is officially now a remote company. While I’m thankful to not feel pressured to return to work when I’m not ready, and I love the wfh freedom, I still find myself kinda sad. Do I wear sweats for the rest of my work life? Haha. My identity feels a bit lost...

Never fully understood all the hype about Big 4 consulting before joining a Big 4 firm. I still don't after nearly 5 years in. Lookin' to bail. What does everyone else wish they were doing instead?

How hard is it to get an interview for SWE at FAANG outside of on campus recruiting? I’m in GT’s OMSCS program right now, hoping to take advantage of career fairs in the fall, but I don’t know if I’ll have enough time to prepare for the technical interviews before then. I’m worried about missing out on the recruiting opportunity and having to resort to applying online/LinkedIn. Any insights into this?

Went from a big firm to work for a smaller firm. The people in the smaller firm are protective of their work and are good by their work too. I no longer feel chaos or stress. I am treated with respect and my schedule is more normal. I am even working more billable hours than before, but it feels like a seamless experience. I don’t work then past 5pm or anything out of the ordinary for this time of the year. I am so grateful!
