LTI will start WFO from May 16 for all locations except NCR.
It may be hybrid or full week, that completely based on project.

Shower thought: the only reason clients want us to travel is so we have nothing else better to do at the hotel than work late. If I was remote every week I doubt I would be working till 11 regularly

My firm has been WFH since March. Some attorneys started going back in to the office a few times per week. I don’t feel comfortable going back yet and to be honest I really enjoy WFH. It’s convenient, it saves time getting ready (I’m a woman so I save an hour in the morning not doing hair/makeup), commuting, lunch, etc. Once people are getting vaccinated and the partners start requiring us to come in to the office again, how do I express that I would prefer to continue WFH?

Hi All,
Wanted to ask if anyone has any recommendations for office chairs in a WFH environment? Budget is around $200-500. My back could really use a break from the piece of junk I’ve been sitting on for the past two years. Thanks in advance!

Why is everyone asking for recommendations on movies and shows to watch? Does everyone binge watch shows now due to WFH? Aren’t people doing actual work when WFH, or just watching movies?

It feels so fruitless applying to jobs. I'm looking for something remote, can anyone help refer me?

Any lightweight game recommendations to play with your team while we’re remote? Preferably app or browser based and free. Something like trivia. Idk.

Thoughts on keeping my apartment in the city? It seems there’s some room here to get a cheaper place remote and come back when the COVID restrictions lighten. Has anyone done this successfully?

Is there a consensus on physical office space versus co-working or remote presence for solos? Does anyone have a dedicated office space in their home that clients can visit?

Anyone have insights on Jackson Lewis’ SF office? A quick peek at their attorneys shows most of associates are relatively new (less than 1 year). Wondering if there’s issues with pay, WFH policy or management that would be a red flag. Thanks in advance for sharing!

Main differences between staff attorney and associate, other than partner track? I am moving and to keep me, my firm offered for me to stay on remotely. Originally they said nothing would change, I would just continue on like normal... totally doable in today's remote world. Now they are doubling back (the day after my last day in office, I should add) and saying that I'll be staying on but as soon Staff Attorney.

My rent is most likely going to increase significantly at the end of my lease due to current market rates so I’m looking for a second job. I’ve been applying and interviewing to switch jobs altogether but have had no luck so far so wanted to try another route. Does anyone have an idea of any contract positions that would allow me to work from home? Is there a website or platform people use to find these contract positions, besides LinkedIn? Thanks!

Do you need to live in a city with an ATK office to work? Or is remote supported depending on skill/need?

Is anyone out there still doing in person teaching?
I’m hoping that you’re all staying safe and teaching remotely. I watch the news and it looks like the virus is all over the country. Now is the time to stay home and stay safe. The hospitals are full and the vaccine is around the corner. We’re entering a really grim chapter but we can and will get through this. We must do the right thing.

Someone at work approached me to write an opinion piece with them which we were planning to publish in a major publication. I happily accepted. Several months later and they’ve kinda ghosted me. I know they’re busy with client work but I’m kinda annoyed. I sent a draft of what I’d written and just never heard back. Is it okay to be mad at them? How do I express my disappointment professionally?

I’m working at a small firm that is more like a one-stop shop. We’ve had instances where a client of ours have asked for a deliverable that is outside of our expertise and that we need specialists for. However, the relationship partner (is that what they’re called) for some reason wants everything to go through them rather than having the specialists directly engage with the client. Is there some legal/ethical reason for this? Or is this just an act to protect their turf?

VC Associate vs. Google PM?

Purely theoretical. Considering options.

I’m almost 3 years post partum and yet I feel like my ankle and feet are still really weak. They hurt without that much walking or standing where they didn’t used to pre pregnancy. Anybody else experience weaker feet and found solutions that helped?

A bit sad as I’ve been having a very tough first year here and headed down to the wrong path. Job is tough, so it’s expected, but I felt like I never had any actual support. Never worked with a manager that provided guidance or proper feedback and somehow that came back to bite me in the rear. I’m leaving soon and wonder if I should try MB/consulting again or get out. Anyone willing to chat through some experience and perhaps provide referral?
