Is working for a startup risky?

Currently living with my parents and paying $800 rent. Is it worth it to buy a home right now? I got a deal on a home that was going for $450k but went down and after negotiating, we agreed on $370k. Prime location in the city. DINK $150k TC. We only have about $60k in cash saved so we were planning on doing a 5% down and our monthly payments (not incl utilities) would be about $2.8-$3k.

Is TAS really our only path out of audit/accounting and into finance?

I see a lot of happy posts in this bowl where people are genuinely happy about their industry roles with good salary and great work life balance. Is anyone here willing to dm me and share about their company or refer me? I am searching for completely remote accounting/finance roles. I am also interested in Talent. I have over 2 years of audit experience and CPA. I have been trying LinkedIn and other Job sites but having not much luck. I am getting depressed with my work at this point.

Left big four as a first year manager for a controller role with a smaller audit client. When I left I had no idea what my long term goal was or where I wanted to end up. Half a year into the new gig and realize it’s not what I want to do. I don’t think I realized the pros of a manager role for a large company at the time, or even a service line change within big four. Hi! I just hit my two year mark at my firm and I was wondering about switching from public to private firms for the work life balance and pay. I started off as an AP Specialist at an aerospace tooling company and never left later than 5 PM. Now I’m barely making rent but have the awesome mentorship and resources to produce FS and potentially grow but long hours are affecting my well being and finances. Should I grind it out at the firm or try for staff accountant?

One month into a new job and I can already tell it’s not for me. Is it too early to start looking for something else?
