I work at a small agency. I asked for a raise and was told you can get one in a few months if you do X,Y,Z but also keep in mind you make (on the low end of) what your position should make.

My question is—I wear many hats within my agency because we’re small and growing—So while I may be an art director, when needed I’m also a PA, or a production designer etc... SO shouldn’t my salary reflect that??

Hi!

I graduated from design school in May and accepted an offer/signed for an entry level visual design role at a startup in SF (80k salary) They want me to relocate eventually but they’re flexible on when. Today I received an offer from a global PR agency based in NY (where I’d prefer to stay) (65k salary). Startup is unicorn fintech with a Series F funding round. This makes me nervous as we enter (or are in) a recession. Any feedback based on the pros and cons list below would be helpful.

Hi! I’m a young professional with less than 2 years experience, started a new job 1.5 months ago. I’m having quite some difficulties on balancing out my response time to tasks. While I act incredibly fast if not immediately with some, I sometimes take 1-2 weeks with couple of hours worthy ones. Sometimes I ignore, procrastinate or simply other more urgent things come up to increase the delay. Also I work with 3 managers in my team which doesn’t help with expectations nor guidance. Any tips pls?

Lateraled 6 months ago and it’s not going well. I’ve gotten some positive feedback here and there, but I’m also been scolded a number of times and it’s pretty clear I’m not up to their expectations. We’re slammed with year end stuff right now and I’m working myself to the bone. They can’t afford to lose a body until the end of the month, but I can’t shake the feeling that they’re going to let me go once we make it through this sprint. Have you guys heard of firms doing this?

Is it appropriate to follow up after interviews to ask why you were not selected? And/or ask for feedback so that you can develop and improve professionally?

I've had SEVERAL interviews since February, and I keep getting rejected and it's starting to leave me feeling discouraged. I've been in my current position for just over 3 years and in the industry for around 4 years and have a bachelor's in Legal Studies. The positions I've applied to all vary in nature.
