It doesn’t look like my little brother is going to get an internship this summer. Going to graduate with computer science degree and go back for master in computer science. Looking for a summer coding classes/boot camps he could take. Any recommendations?

Thoughts on working in-house early in career versus the other way around? I’m a student and my past experience and internship offers are heavy on the in house ‘startup’ d2c brand archetype... Will this hurt my chances of later going into an agency role? Concerned if I’m pigeonholing myself too early.

Had an interview with Hexaware and 3 days back HR1 called me and said she will send the offer letter next week. 2 days back HR2 called me and said a client interview is scheduled for you and I attended that. I am fairly green in academia (< 1 year) and I want to shift to an area of research which I always wanted to do but never could as a Ph.D. student (because of conflict of interest).
The issue I am facing is that due to lack of my documented research experience in this field (read, lack of papers) I am finding it very hard to land any grant and reviewers keep saying "The PI hasn't demonstrated any experience in said research" blah blah.
Any advice on how to overcome this?

Booked my tickets to go to India with Lufthansa. Checked baggage allowance SEVERAL times. Now it's taking me to United to check-in and United is only allowing 1 bag to be checked in. I applied for and was offered a IT team position at a resort which pays 20% more and involves more diverse skills, networking, some sysadmin, potential .net development exp and scripting.

Current employer offers 21% raise and 30% coding duties. Dept head cannot give it in writing... coding is as helper to a consultant.

Hi everyone, I need help evaluate an offer for senior data scientist at a mid size corporate in SF (mainly focus on statistical modeling and data analysis, no MLE related tasks):
$175K base + 300K RSU, no bonus, fully remote. I’m currently working at a unicorn with $115K base + stock options (best case scenario if stock price increase 11x I’d get around $300K out of it before tax) + 15% annual bonus, in office 2-3 times a week.

I feel like my boss never joins my working call with my stakeholders, is this normal in big tech, like they don't have time to sit in the same meeting with you to understand and course correct your working styles? Like I am supposed to take the whole lead from day 1 independently.
