Hi Fishes, can somebody tell me about role of Manager Projects, within cognizant,
It is suppose to be connected to mlops as per discussion but I wanted to know about manager projects profile here, is it like project manager (non technical) or it can be technical as well?
Is this a strong offer in Pharma or should I negotiate for more at Supervisor level: 110k base, 35k equity (25% vested after 1 year and the rest divided within 3 years), no sign on bonus, 10k relocation assistance, and 13% annual bonus. FYI: I have 8 years of experience and a M.S.
Does being a first generation college student drastically help you when applying to mba programs?
Am an Engineer I currently with 2 YOE
after graduate from two different jobs.
Currently getting Master of Science in
Project Management and looking to
get the PM certificate after
graduation. Any advice/suggestions
on what kind of jobs will most likely fit
me? I wanted to get this Master mainly
for career advancement and hopefully
get into some sort of manager/
director roles eventually. Getting this
master also because I have no prior
related experience so this can be
good start for PM roles.

What's the pay range for a Director in Financial Crime and Compliance in any of the top consulting firms in New York?
Tax counsel jobs seem to be rare, compared to the more common tax senior analyst/manager/director roles. Anyone have any insight into compensation and whether companies put a premium on JDs? Looking at HCOL areas for 5-8 yrs of exp and want to understand reasonable salary bands.
Any insights on Protiviti as a company? Good place to work? Considering a move from internal to client facing.
I’m a Junior accountant, recent MBA grad in Finance, located in NYC, just got laid off due to a merger. Anybody hiring or know any opening positions?
I recently started my new job as a Business Anaylst in training to become a Product Owner in the near future. I make 70k with a little less than 1 year of experience. I recently found out a coworker of mine makes $120k with a little over 2 years of experience. I looked up the companies average salary for the position which is $86k. I feel that the offer I accepted I was low balled after finding this information out. Should I negotiate a higher salary even though I don’t have alot of experience?
Please help me choose Epam systems or Nagarro or dtdl.
Almost same salary. YOE 5 years.

Finishing my first year as a FSO senior. Have an offer for 30% increase in pay, plus 10-15% bonus. Title is “Fund Accountant” and reports directly to the controller. It’s a small team and this (cont)
I am expecting to receive offer letter, i do not have idea of comp structure which they will be providing in offer letter , but before that background verification team has asked for documents , is it a normal process or i can check with hr.HSBC India
Hey there, just got a mail from a recruiter at Bain to discuss a potential specialist consultant opportunity. Any tips on what the interview process might be like , indicative comp and WLB? I have 7 years experience in the releavnt field (Acc & Big 4) so will be joining laterally.
Any Amazon counsel or other FAANG attorneys willing to share how their comp review has worked? I’m really happy with my offer(lower base, really high signing bonus and decent RSUs) and was told their would be yearly comp reviews but wondering how that plays out the first few years...
Can someone please confirm is it mandatory to attend the elevate wings 1 assessment?
I got the digital pass but it seems I won't be able to attend.
Folks recently joined P in the tech consulting practice. One one of the calls I realized that we are not really selling solutions but mostly staff aug for clients. Is that really how P does business? Coming in from big 4 this was a surprise to me. Given that most D and MDs are homegrown, probably used to this way of business, however we are not selling solutions is a concern in my opinion. Thoughts?
What are typical hourly billable rates from big 4 for external audit services by role? New York or California.
How frequently do you check your bank balance ? 😛😃 Then what’s the first thought you get?
Can you please help me choose where to switch:
Current: PwC, 7 yoe, CTC is 12.67
Deloitte: 19 Fixed location Bangalore ( providing no relocation expenses)
First American Financial: 22 Fixed + 3 variable in Bangalore
Eclerks: 20 fixed Chandigarh
I also have an offer from SGS technology, fixed 24 permanent wfh. I rejected Bajaj Finance as they provided low CTC.
My last day at my super toxic biglaw firm was Friday. Lateraling to a firm that seems to have a much better culture. I feel so free, but I also feel bad for my friends who are still stuck in that toxic place.

I’m considering a move from D.C. to Miami and wanted any tips or any thoughts from anyone who has made the transition? Neighborhoods would be extremely helpful.. I would prefer to rent in this market (3k and under would be ideal) (that’s without utilities)
Tha last week of studying before an exam is always the hardest for me to stay focused. God give me strength 🙏
I really like finance, but I want to be a sole proprietor. Any ideas of what I can do besides making my own hedge book?
Great teacher l/parent tricks!
What are the standard fees for outsourcing consultancy work?
I've been working with a newly established consultancy business. Until now I've been paid day rates or project rates.
I've been invited to lead, build and manage the HR consultancy.
What are reasonable fee structures?
1. If they source work and give it to me to complete, what is a fair percentage?
2. If I source work and complete it, what should I 'pay' them given that it's under their 'brand'?
Has anyone gone CAIA route ?
I got cleared till Google HC for SAP Architect position and but have been put on hold since last 1.5 months. HR says Team is re-evaluating the Head Count. Anyone has any idea what are my options in this case?
What are the benefits of going the FDD route over audit other than “higher pay”? Note that in Toronto, audit pays higher than FDD at the senior level
Anyone else down to bang their boss? Any success/awkward stories about playing with a direct supervisor?
So sick and tired of seeing the consulting side at my firm make so much more money than I do and have more interesting projects
Additional Posts in Consulting Exit Opportunities
Eight years of state level government law enforcement/investigative experience with plenty of court testimony/report writing/interviewing skills. Recently transitioned to public sector consulting and not sure if it’s a good fit for my skills and experience. Looking for suggestions on an exit strategy or somewhere else to focus to best utilize my skills. Preferably in investigations but open to suggestions. Thoughts?
Does anywhere else have health coverage even remotely close to MBB?
People can argue all day about prestige and it’s value, but the healthcare offered at those firms is real and next level.
I know FAANG and big tech are good, and lots of companies are improving benefits in general, but does anywhere else cover 100% of premiums and in network care, and something like 90% for out of network as well?
Really struggling with what to do next in life. I feel like declaring search but have 0 idea what is the right job for me. Everything sounds sexy, I have serious FOMO about PM at FAANG...would love to hear from people who navigating this uncertainty and found something they're excited about
Got through 3rd round interviews with a Fortune 100 and several weeks later, have not heard back from recruiter. Is that typical at this stage of process?
If I don’t meet the minimum YOE for a Facebook role do they automatically disqualify my resume? I was on the phone with the recruiter and they told me to send three jobs I’m interested in and I met the minimum qualifications. I have 7 YOE but the role wants are 8 YOE.
is Facebook hard-core with this requirement?
does anyone know of a job that you can do & make relatively okay money to pay bills while trying to secure another job?
Just wrapped up an interview at Amazon. I feel pretty good about most of the interviews during the loop. Looking back I think I bombed the bar raiser interview though. By the time I met him, I was already so exhausted that I didn’t have it in me to go into great length of my examples. As a result I got a lot of follow up questions from him. Do I have any chance on getting an offer given the scenario?
Left consulting for tech a few months back. I now want to take 3 weeks vacation in May - June. Family wedding and then a friends wedding 10 days apart in Europe. Would like to attend both. How would you bring that up with manager on a reasonably new gig?

Anyone have experience starting their own consulting firm / or does freelance consulting that would be willing to chat?
How do you frame M&A work (due diligence, integration planning, synergy analysis and tracking) if you don’t want to continue to do M&A work?
I'm being asked to support multiple engagements now. I'm actively looking to move out of consulting. No offers yet. What happens if I slack or not take additional work (possibly ending up on the wrong side of PPMD)? I've decided to move on as soon as I get my 1st offer (not sure when 🤞🏼).
Any suggestions to cope. Thanks.
On the beach currently and just got an exit offer that I'm going to accept.. should I just keep to myself, stay on the beach, and give in my 2 weeks after I pass the background screening?
Meeting with a recruiter at one of the FAANG companies. I won’t be able to move jobs because of H1b /GC at least for the next year. Any idea if I should start off with that or should I just try to understand the work that they have been doing?
Has anyone interviewed at Netflix? Would love to hear about how it went for you to help prepare for interviews.
Seeing a lot of people ask for interview and career exploratory support here. Please reach out if you're interested in coaching.
I've done 100+ interviews at most FAANG (FB, Google, Msft, Amazon) and unicorn tech companies (Spotify, Stripe, Uber, DD) and secured multiple offers for strategy & op, program management, and product roles.
If you're at the final rounds, I have a sense of how you can effectively prepare for these interviews.
Hit me up if interested.
Got a verbal from a tier 1 semiconductor market leader. Base is 10% less than current. And I’m already underpaid. RSU is next to nothing. But, I’m so burnt out and desperate leave consulting. What would u do if in my situation?
I’ve been looking to join a tech company for more than a yr. Failed all interviews, now feeling worthless. I read 10Ks, PM interview book, company news, consulting case, PM case, did take home cases,…and none worked out. Always made to the final then failed 😣
What companies have you come across that have the best parental leave? I know google gives 6 months. Any others give 4+?
