The US doesn’t spend, they benefit from the foreign students tuition that basically pays for domestic students (indirectly you enjoy the benefits)
International students spend 2-3X the local tuition, and with the currency exchange rates with USD, just imagine the sheer amount of money they spend to get an education here.
Very unfair immigration system here that their fate ultimately depends on a lottery no matter how hard they work.
It really is a broken system to allow students to get their education here, paying top dollar in a lot of cases, just to leave their future careers in the states to chance. Maybe one day the immigration/visa process will be different for students
If you do everything right aka work your arse off, suck it up because you’re bound to your sponsor company for 5+ years, constantly live in uncertainty, you “might” get a greencard at the end. If you don’t follow the rules and snag a fake marriage, the system rewards you, you can get a greencard in just two years. And this ladies and gents is the immigration system in the US.
