It seems to me that engineers would make some of the best farmers because they could figure out the most efficient way to use land for agriculture

You would be surprised at the overlap between an engineering degree and an agricultural degree. I have met a few people that have their PE, but their degree was in agriculture

Wait til you hear about agricultural engineers...

Actually pretty spot on, there's a show on HBO about a former engineer who now has their own farm and helps other families set up their own home gardens.

Found it, it's called Homegrown. It's like home makeovers but for gardens!

Yeah, maximizing space efficiency, setting up irrigation systems, planning out the planting and harvesting seasons, etc. Most of the tasks related to setting up a farm actually use very similar base skills to what an engineer would be expected to use in their own projects

You'd be right! I actually have my own home garden, it's all just thinkning in systems when it really comes down to it

Quite a bit of engineering does go into farming.

Some of the best engineers were farm kids

My boyfriend doesn't like to talk about his feelings. It's the time of year where he lost his sister (passed away) very suddenly and idk how to bring it up to him. I want him to know I know it's that time but feel like he'll just yell at me.

I am in the process of IVF due to my husband's male factor infertility. I am so grateful for the benefits that EY provides and wanted to know if there is any consideration for reevaluating those benefits? We know that IVF is incredibly expensive and for some of us, having children is a top priority. Does anyone know where or how we can petition for enhanced or shared benefits? I have ideas.
