I was recently laid off and got another offer with 10 days but wasn't able to hold on multiple offers as I was immediate joiner. Hence I joined the company but I was skeptical because it is product based food package manufacturing company. this is my 3 rd company.yoe -3.5 .net developer. I was not going to switch because my earlier work was nice. Current with this different industry i feel if I took right decision and will it be ok if I switch again or should I wait for some time.

The other day I had a dream that I got an offer from a top v10 law firm. I became so emotional that I actually woke up with tears of joy. To many of us, Big Law in New York is a dream…

Started in BL as a midlevel two weeks back and had a pre planned vacation which I’ve let anyone who I’m working with know about (in addition to letting the firm know before I started). My firm is really great. Mid sized regional firm. People are great, work is great. But I’m a junior and there are zero mid levels in my specific office. I’m questioning if I am getting the proper training as other juniors at other firms. The pay is good for a firm of this size with its presence, but feel like someone with my level of experience should be trying to get the proper training in order to succeed as I progress. Thoughts on what to do? I’m comfortable, but thinking about of the future

I am in a counsel role at an AmLaw 100 firm. Was contacted by a recruiter about a counsel position at a V50, but they want my law school transcript. I graduated from law school 17 years ago. Is this just about confirming I actually have a degree or are they actually going to look at my grades?

Junior associate here. Almost a month since I started. Transactional group. I am still going days where I don’t bill a single minute. Is this worrisome? Sometimes I bill 5 hours in a day, but it’s rare.

I’m staffed on 2/3 deals, but they havent kicked off yet. Should I be worried?

We’re looking for a way to keep track of who’s working on what (not specific tasks but more like what deals, status of those deals, capacity).

If you’re delinquent on an internal deadline, what is the best way to handle or say to the partner after already apologizing?

Hate getting yelled at by partner as a first-year for something that wasn’t my fault… I do not know what I am doing and the senior was giving me direction and reviewing my work… I literally was just following instructions 😭
