What are your favorite places/brands for buying casual dresses? I’m WFH and STRUGGLING with productivity. I’m now “getting dressed” every a.m. in hopes of tricking myself into more motivation. I feel ridiculous wearing my usual work clothes, so I’m looking for dresses/options that are more casual but are still real clothes? Please also share any tips for (1) resetting when you’ve let your life go to hell and are v overwhelmed with fixing it and (2) staying focused + motivated while WFH. TIA!
Anyone have a sense of what a senior consultant level compensation would be at Amazon? Not sure what to ask, or what level to look at on glass door
Do you think we can expense our tickets to The Accountant? Looks educational and groundbreaking for the practice.
Probably a better bowl but would love advice. Partner and I are getting car insurance for first time in many years. In our 30s. No negative driving history. Two drivers on a single small SUV (certified pre owned). What seems like a reasonable monthly or annual price? Is this something you can generally negotiate or it’s pretty fixed / industry standards? Also what impacts your rate? Does your credit score / history come into play? We need any and all advice! Thanks 🐟!
Would it be possible to go from FP&A at a bank to investment banking without an MBA? Background includes transaction advisory and previous banking experience
Thinking of leaving B4 before the 3yr mark for vesting of pension. Does anyone have an idea of what would be the one time lump sum payment amount? Is there a formula out there to calculate this?
Is it worth it to get an MBA with a Human Resources Management concentration (ideally T15), or just go the Masters/Grad school route?
Id rather sit in the coach window seat than the delta economy+ middle seat... they didnt let me :( #firstworldproblems
Billable time - I'm on a plane ride traveling for one client but working on the plane on a different client. Do you charge time to both clients for the time? If not which one do you charge?
I'm trying to switch from consulting to product management. Is it possible to make the switch directly or would I need to go to business school? Are any FAANG companies keen on PMs with a consulting background? Are there any courses or books that could help me make the switch? I've been seeinga lot of ads Product School for instance. Is that a better value substitute for business school? Sorry for the question overload lol. Thanks in advance for your help 🙂
Does anybody know any solutions for having someone care for a mildly sick child? I have a 1-year-old in daycare and my wife and I both work. He is picking up various illnesses which is unfortunately not unusual for his age at daycare. If he has a fever he has to miss the following day of daycare even after the fever is gone. This is a good policy with covid but difficult for two working parents. Bright horizons used to provide care in this scenario but not in 2020 even with a negative covid test
Has anyone exited to a FAANG equivalent (uber, airbnb, Tencent) from Big4, then further exited into MBB? Interested in seeing if it’s a possibility
I am desperate to get out of my current firm. Would it be worth it to reach out to my alma mater's alumni network? Not sure how much it'll actually help considering I only have one year of experience and not many companies are hiring atm...
Recruiter from ACN reached out for a client and market role. Seems like front end ops work. Can any provide any additional insight? Comp, project cases, culture & lifestyle, growth, etc...
How many people legitimately work with C-suite people on client side? Is so, what is your level? And what kind of interactions?
How important is the school you go to if you plan on being sponsored by your company? Say my consulting firm pays for my MBA if I return to work for them after 2 years. Does the school I go to matter? What if I want to switch industries 2 years post MBA? Would post MBA work experience trump school brand or does the quality of network (M7 vs T15) matter more?
Meeting with a recruiter at one of the FAANG companies. I won’t be able to move jobs because of H1b /GC at least for the next year. Any idea if I should start off with that or should I just try to understand the work that they have been doing?
Lost a nice fee-based account today ($750K) to an "annuity" I was stunned. Whatever she's been sold has a 20%(!!!) "bonus". My assumption there is that the annuity has a ridiculous surrender schedule
