It’s funny how in a bull market everyone is convinced you can’t time the market and you have to keep buying no matter how ridiculous valuations get.

Then as soon as we hit a bear market people become equally convinced that they can time the bottom and buying stocks is throwing money down the drain.

Guess the nature of bubbles never really changes.

Nor the nature of humans. We are irrational beings that try to create a sense of control of our surroundings to feel less small than we are.

I’m kinda half pregnant myself if we are being honest.

I had saved about $150,000 to pay off my mortgage, but when things started turning south mid January, I decided to wait to use the money more wisely by investing it.

I’ve put about $50,000 out of that $150k in through dollar cost averaging since late January. But I’m still sitting on the other hundred thousand waiting for what I hope will be a bottom at some point.

I’ll still throw some money in overtime so as they continue the dollar cost average approach, but it’s definitelychunky and not linear.

Also wondering what half pregnant means lol. Like the fertilized 🥚 is forming but not fully developed? I don’t see how that relates to $50k…

I waited for it to hit bear status and now I am starting my buys. Kinda timing the market I guess, but not as aggressively as those people that think they will be able call the exact bottom.

I firmly believe leadership makes the difference.

Not only, it highlins each one's value, but especially spreads this value among others.
I'm speaking about life, in a broad sense, which also include work life, but it is not limited to that.

Looking for any kind of suggestion to improve my leadership: books, experiences, attitudes, daily-routine, ...

Thank you!

Need some advice for investing, I make a base salary of 180k - meaning after taxes and 401k etc I take home 9k per month. Child care , living expenses - 4-4.5k, investments in india - 2.5k, I have up to 2-2.5k left every month. Should I be putting all of it in ETFs ? That would be about 33%-25% of my salary. I put my bonuses and stocks in savings accounts and CDs for my kid. Thoughts? Thank you!

I currently have a Cap One Venture card. I have had it for a couple of years now but I am interested in upgrading to a Venture X card.

No promotion has been offered to me to upgrade my existing Venture card to a Venture X card.

Should I wait until that promotion is offered to me? Or would it be dumb to apply for a Venture X card separately and a) hold both cards or b) close out the original Venture card.
