Celebrated my birthday last week (Los Angeles here). Got takeout from a favorite place, a favorite bottle of wine, and watched a movie. Not nearly the birthday I had hoped for, but all things considered happy to have health, a home, and my partner here.
Stay in bed and lick each other.

I was thinking the same thing, as my birthday is coming up. I thought about mimosas, ordering from a great restaurant, asking him to give me a massage, getting a delicious cake....

If you have a yard do a cute outdoor movie date. My bf lives in a townhouse with a teeny yard and we put up string lights and bought a projector off of Amazon and did an outdoor movie picnic. Also bought the we're not really strangers card game and played that together and was a fun bonding activity. We've also recreated our favorite dates with takeout. We did a hike with masks with another couple and they stayed 6ft away. Was nice to see other humans. The state park we booked had limited access so we only saw one other group and they were masked and politely moved so we could pass safely.
It's our anniversary this weekend and his birthday next weekend so following this thread, too! We're in a similar boat in Texas and running out of ideas. Culturally, it's debatable if people are really distancing which is its own scary thing. 😬😅 Will likely use a park and have friends sit distanced in camp chairs and BYOB/snacks for his birthday. He's been real sad he may not be able to see his friends so have been trying to find a safe compromise.
