Interviewed and was offered a job that has tons of growth potential and better area to live in. Offer is more money than what I make now but would require leaving everything I know behind and starting in a new state. Do employers typically negotiate within reason? I’m looking for 5% more than what was offered.

I have an offer from KPMG, and I am in talks with collabera, they are offering about 35% hike which will be 100% hike from my current ctc, while KPMG offers 65% on my current ctc.

KPMG is a research and stakeholders management role and collabera offers strategy role including working direct with VP.

I know the company is pretty small when company to KPMg, should I proceed with the interview?

What’s the point of HBS’s post interview reflection? From everything I’ve gathered it seems like it won’t save you and it won’t tank you (assuming you don’t write obscene/rude things). So, why bother?

How do you balance your interview prep when there are so many possible things you could be asked about? At what point did you cut your losses in prepping last time, and what made you think that that was a good point to do that?

I'm working with EPAM, 7.8 yoe as dot net full stack with ctc 26LPA. Fed up with my current tech stack now project want on call support over weekend. no one knows project. No one is supporting. Thinking abt current situation I'm bit worrying. Somehow given interview in EY and selected. HR ask me CTC, NP and expected CTC. I told 20% and 60 days NP. She said, will check with business and get back to me. It's been 3 days no response, when I called her today she didn't pick. Is it normal in EY?

Sent a follow up email today asking for updates a week after my final interview - didn’t get a response right away… obviously I need to be more patient, but how long is too long to wait for a response to your follow up email?

I have interviews coming up at BD in Maryland and, coming from the hospital world, I have no clue what salary to ask for. The position is a scientist/quality role for microbiology research and development. For context, I have 4 years of experience in a hospital blood bank and am a certified Medical Laboratory Technologist. I was thinking in the 65-70k range, but the recruiter made it seem like that was easily attainable so I’m worried I’m asking too low. Would 75-80k be do-able?

I had 2 rounds of interviews with EY GDS. Followed by HR reaching out to get documents and relevant information. Please mind HR discussion has not happened yet.

Its been more than a week since there is no response from HR side/GDS team.

Does this mean that they did not consider me? Because I believe that HR asking for docs is a clear indication that I cleared my interviews.

Is this a norm? Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Meds and GMAT exam performance: I feel smarter, more time-conscious and aware off meds during an exam. 3 questions: 1. Should I take meds daily to revise effectively before GMAT? 2. Should I take them during the exam itself? 3. If I shouldn’t take it during exam, when or how should I wean off of it? 2 days before etc?

Thinking of turning down a Google offer. 15 YO overall (5 year PgM exp), been a TVC at Google for 2 years doing the role I interviewed for (no direct conversation anymore, so I went though the full interview process). Hi all - I’m currently in GBO sales and got an offer for a role in the GBO company plan. I’ll be the same level (5) and location (NYC) but my total compensation will be $20k lower with the company plan. Is this common? Has anyone been able to negotiate comp when switching teams within Google?

I'm taking a new role outside of Google. Is it ok for my last to be the same day a bunch of shares vest? Should I work one extra day to be safe? Anything else to consider in terms of timing?

Who really has a say in whether they want to hire you? I assume the hiring manager as that’s who you’d work with directly but there are additional voices and feedback. How heavily weighted are the rest of the interviews?
