It's so difficult to focus on work knowing that I am actively interviewing elsewhere

Hi I just had an interview and I think it was ok but at the end I asked for the next steps which I think was dumb. They told me to reach out to the recruiter of any additional qs and That was it. Does that sound good? I know I am overthinking but I tend to do it a lot.

Hi looking for some advice. Working for a startup, got approached by and started interviewing with a large tech company which would match my salary, but add 25% bonus, rsus worth $100k over 3 years, plus health insurance etc. No offer yet but interviews are going well. Currently have exit only options in the company I’m at, and have heard that we are close to being acquired by a faang that would make those worth £100k. Acquisition could be done within the year. Should I stick it out?

Here is my issue. I left my firm this summer for an opportunity I should have known was to good to be true. I realized it wasn’t what I was led to believe. Was able to return to my old firm. The return was “a favor”. But includes conditions. I am not happy, and need a change and honestly more money now rather than in 6-8 months. I knew it would be ruff when I went back but I didn’t expect it to be this ruff. Is my recent history gonna be a huge hurdle to even get an interview?

I was on PTO last week and had some follow up interviews for a role I was interested in.

The bad news is, I promptly forgot to send thank you notes! (Family PTO in Disney/Kennedy Space Center - so a bit crazed!). I am back in the office today and sent the notes... but, I am wondering how big an issue this could be.

Since leaving the federal govt & joining consulting last year, I’ve already learned new skills + met some great people. I’ve also seen a few who are competitive to the point of toxicity. Just like the feds who’ve perfected laziness & stagnation...I feel sorry for them both. With the feds, they may not realize it, but they are rotting in place. For the hyper competitive consultants, nothing will ever be enough. For both, by the time they realize their error, it will be way too late.

Home for Christmas. My mom just told me my dad was diagnosed with some rare blood condition last week where your bone marrow stops producing enough new blood cells. More tests later this week, but until then no one else knows and we aren’t talking about it because dad doesn’t want to and they don’t want my grandma to know.
