It's so hard to concentrate or be engaged with current projects and tasks when involved with multiple interview processes. Especially exiting to tech where it seems every company now has a take home project, presentation, or some sort of assessment. I'm definitely hoping to exit soon, but, damn, it's time consuming!

I realized I've been a dummy for getting a job at a creative agency and not working on my portfolio. Most of the projects I've taken on, I've done so as a way to support others without taking much credit for it. Now, a better opportunity came along and I don't have anything to show for my talent as a designer. ALWAYS take credit for what you do, even if it's not your project to begin with.

Do you sign up for separate classes offered by private companies or is there 1 single provider that you subscribe ? Wondering how do you track that for multi year compliance and if requested by state for audit, how is that support / documentation provided ?

Thinking of going freelance in a few months because I have gone 3 years without a raise and my work-life balance is awful. I’m not in a big ad agency market, so there are only a small number of places I could go to if I decide freelance is not for me and want to go back to agency life. Am I crazy to consider doing this now? Any advice from agency producers who took the leap?

Bombed an interview today with a boutique advisory firm. Been an IT Auditor for the last six years, and whilst I don't necessarily hate the work, the firm and people aren't great. Keen on moving to 1st or 2nd line of defence roles but it's one rejection after the other.

I work with great people. Really can’t say anything bad about my firm in general either. But…I still dislike the entire premise of law firm life, the billable hour, etc.. I’d love to work in a law school setting as a counselor or something but I can’t afford the pay cut. *sigh* Does anyone feel like being a lawyer is just doing homework all day? First world problems I suppose. I’m very thankful to have a job ❤️
