It's starting to get hard to show up to my job and give 110% when I know that I'm not being paid what I'm worth, and have to work extra hours at a side job to make ends meet. How would you start a conversation with your boss about this? Mine is very kind and I think would be understanding, but this is new territory for me

Agree with the comment above. Now is the time to have conversations for salary increases that will take effect in January. Do some research, maybe talk to a few recruiters, to get an idea of what you could be paid somewhere else. Tie this conversation into your year end review with your manager. I ended up leaving my job recently because through some research and conversations with recruiters I learned I was very underpaid.

Just be open and honest about it. Do some research and show why you feel like you deserve a raise vs feeling like it. If you can, show them what other people in a similar industry are making, and why you deserve to be compensated similarly.

My organization absorbed another and the former deputy PM became a branch head - a demotion. For org was more focused on tech dev and not delivering a product on a sked. New org is very focused on that. He is not a driving leader, but is the only one with the tech knowledge needed. He is retirement eligible. He has no heir apparent - previous org didn’t plan that way. If I move him under someone who is a driver - he retires and I lose the knowledge. If I don’t, we may not meet schedules. Advice?

I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. And when we ask her about it, she gets mad.

I'm worried that if I speak up, she'll make my life even harder. I don't want to lose my job because of this—do you guys have any advice?

Not only do I already assist w/ HR/onboarding, I work in almost every other operations aspect (IT, finance, etc) & manage US marketing under the global head. I think I deserve $60-65k. See resume, is this reasonable? Thx!
