Thoughts on exiting to a FAANG L6 Strategy role or waiting until July for my impending promotion to manager? Do we think I can push the start date out to August?
Super naive question but how does one go about shifting to a different big 4 and then leverage a raise/ higher position? Do you get contacted by recruiters or reach out? Thinking to switch next year
What is your perspective on the longer term value of an MBA? Has it played an important role in your journey?
Warning to anyone flying from LGA coming from the city/BK- gridlock is starting way back at the Koscuiuszko Bridge, instead of the exit to the airport itself. Adds an easy extra 40 min to the commute
How long did it take you leave Deloitte? Like from receiving another offer to your last day? I know there’s an exit checklist floating around somewhere but just curious what the timeline looks like.
Strategy folks - how do you get good at … strategy? Recently started at a startup in a role where I’m the only person under the head of our product team who handles the strategy-focus of the company. He wants me to take more ownership from him and I want to crush it but have no relevant experience here and am still fairly junior. Any books or classes? Or is it just trial by fire.
FDD exit opportunities into Corp Development (in-house M&A) - is this common or rare? How many years of FDD experience would be most ideal to make this jump?
What is the starting position for someone out of undergrad in EY-Parthenon? What’s the average salary for that role? (Living in a low to mid cost of living city)
Considering leaving EY for a 300 FTE consulting firm, mainly govt sector, for a strategic talent role (non-client facing). Current Manager in a long-term product management role. Offer is 30% increase, director title, and fully remote. Concerned about jumping to a company I had never heard of prior to LinkedIn connection. Thoughts? 30% too low for this type of jump?
I have an offer for a finance role from one of the faang companies out of Seattle. Total comp is little over $400k. Is this a respectable offer? I’m currently based out of a tier-3 city and working for one of the big4s.
need advice. I have been working in an interim role as a portfolio manager. I was promised that the role would be mine. However, after doing the job for 2 months, I have been advised that we might not get the funding for the role and I might not get the raise and the title but my responsibilities will be the same. Its a political minefield. How should I back out elegantly that I need to be compensated fairly and competitively from this mess without burning any bridges
Tierd of the interview process...does anyone have a short interview on or any one directly hiring without 20+ interview steps
My TC is $550K at an E6 role, but I think a paycut may be inevitable. No startups I've spoken to can match my TC, including paper RSU. I also spoke with Twitter and their max for staff is the high 500s. Can anyone even match my TC?
I just finished my last round of interviews for Consultant role at Slalom. I live in a metropolitan area and have 5+ years of non-traditional experience but with skill sets they really need. What base pay should I expect/is fair? Also did anyone negotiate full-time remote? Slalom Consulting
Name some good health tech exit opportunities from consulting! Currently getting a list ready
What is the salary range for SM in Accenture UK, London based? Do they offer RSUs as well?
What’s the best way to capitalize on this hot market right now? Just applying on LinkedIn? Trying to find an application strategy but not sure where to start.
Hello everyone, I am planning to give my pd2 certification very soon. Any advices/tips on the preparation techniques that would help me crack this tough exam? Thanks for your time and suggestions.
I've been out of accounting for about 2 years because I decided to move to another country for life experiences. I will be moving back mid 2022 with my fiance and will go back to Audit most likely. My firm said they would gladly take me back when I left. If i was making 65k as a senior 2 years ago is it reasonable to ask for 72k and a 10k signing bonus even with a 2 year break? Would it be more reasonable if I went to a different firm instead? How much do you think is reasonable?
Used to work as an AE at Yelp. Got laid off. What do you think the areas of opportunity are right now in the world of sales? Still a good time to be in tech?
I absolutely do not care - is that just sometimes based on the project you are on? Ever cared more on certain projects vs others?

NYC. Have one year of cw experience at a well known shop (started at 50) thinking about changing shops. What should I expect in terms of salary? 55k?
Am I an attractive candidate at all? Or is it silly to think I could jump soon for a comp increase? 1 yoe BAH fed (7 yoe in nonprofit sector before that), currently at 90k. Have some generalist certifications (agile, prosci, working on instructional design). Non-technical, no master’s. Resume is mostly attractive bc of extensive international/cross-cultural experience & DoS experience. Am I still too “meh” with only 1yoe & no tech skills?
Is it easy to get a nonconsulting role in Social Impact, Corporate Social Responsibility, Purpose & People? MSHR and SHRM-SCP with 10+ years of experience in compliance, global mobility, people development, workforce strategy and disability advocacy.
Feeling burnt out, like I’m not doing great work, in need of a major life change, and that I’m just in survival mode until the Holiday break. Meanwhile I feel guilt of having a stable remote job unlike so many others around the country. Someone tell me that I’m not alone
What is the average compensation for an account manager (sales focused) selling into Microsoft? Base + variable.
The pressure at work has increasingly led to a strain on my mental health. I have allowed myself one too many times to prioritize the needs of others (clients, PPMDs, etc.) before my own and the price is showing in my inability to highly perform like once before. I’m at the point of not caring about anything any longer, even if that means risking my job. I’m not sure the reason I’m posting this—perhaps I’m seeking guidance or maybe I just needed to vent. Sigh…
I'm getting my MBA from the University of Arizona, how prestigious is the AACSB accreditation? And do MBB or Big 4 Consultant firms care about it?
How do I dress like a McKinsey while on a Deloitte salary? Any cheap places to get a bunch of blazers? Willing to import.
