I’ve a new, significantly better job offer on my hands. I’m struggling to be excited about it, and become comfortable with the idea of moving jobs. I feel like my current company has done a lot for me, and I’m overwhelmed with guilt at the idea of leaving them and all the great people behind. Is this normal?
I’m young and obviously should not be so stuck in my comfort zone. This is my first job so I’m also a little nervous about being in an environment I don’t absolutely love.

Yes, it’s normal to feel torn about leaving and nervous about the unknown. Sounds like it’s a great opportunity and you should go for it! Worst case scenario, if you don’t like it you can always leave for another job - you’re not stuck there forever.

Don’t just change jobs for the sake of getting outside of your comfort zone. If you feel as if your current job, one you know is making you happy, is what will be best for you in the long term between these two there’s nothing wrong with staying there. BUT if this job offer really does feel like a step in a positive direction, professionally, and just in general, don’t let the idea of discomfort (which will be momentary) hold you back!

Okay I'm absolutely confused:
I recently changed roles and companies. Went from full accounting into a senior/associate investment Analyst role.

I basically went from creating and implementing models with my colleagues and managers.
To now analyzing VC/PE funds and building decks for our investment recommendations.

The thing is i was used to have inputs when needed from my managers for my models. Now I'm in a senior position with not much support for something I haven't done since uni
