Started my 2.5 year old at a My Gym, we’ve gone twice now. He is super nervous but I can tell he is excited and loving it on the inside. Ever so slowly he is trying a few new things, and he is crying less while there. I can’t wait to watch him when he finally throws his body around and laughs with another kid. Today’s class had me in tears because I’m so sad that he is scared to be around others and so proud that he is slowly opening up. Sigh.

Just got laid off this week from a big 4 firm and am currently looking for a new position. Prior to knowing that I was getting laid off, I started talking to some recruiters and had an initial round of interviews for a role. Next interview should be next week. Super hypothetical scenario: a recruiter submitted me to a few firms within the past month and then basically went radio silent except for a few emails here and there. Hard to get in touch with them to set up an update call and I’m already regretting submitting through them. Can I reach out to a friend at the firm and have them bump up my application/gently nudge recruiting?
