Currently trying to do the same in my job. I am working with the executives on sponsorship for AAB people in order to help them navigate Snd move up. It is Difficult. In my experience I didn’t have much help. So I want to help other young women as well

I think it's a great idea and not one I have really see implemented in a way that would genuinely help with reaching leadership positions. We seem to have a good group of people In this bowl. Maybe we can come up with some ideas together.

I currently have an (ever) evolving idea to create something similar to educate black talent to ensure they understand technical concepts and careers. Now, through conversations with other folks, I think ensuring success with those soft skills does feel important alongside their technical skills. Here’s a place I built to house some of the solutions (exposure to different jobs alongside stories of others’ journeys) and some other problems (education at scale) I’m looking to solve. https://thetechjourney.co

This is pretty cool to put this in one place! It is a good starting point. there are content creators that that fly under the radar around this topic I’ll have to check them out.

I want to start off by saying thank you for bringing this point out. It would be a great thing for you to start yourself and build out. As someone who started their company to help black and Spanish people make significantly more than they are currently making, these conversations are exciting. They change the dynamic to show what the true meaning of making a difference really is.

I've seen this as an org internal to a company before, but not independent of a particular workplace

Yeah I think each company wants to hold on to its own “diversity factory” usually just making their numbers look good but not actually helping empower ppl. I think this is one of those things were this community has to exist outside of any company to really work.

I’m very into indian arts culture and myself learned classical dance forms (3), Carnatic singing, and violin, but I am interested to hear about some more arts you all might be engaging in as hobbies or passions. I really like to work with my hands to create something. Right now I’m working on a project to learn interior design using high end, business professional desi design patterns in my apt. What are some other nice arts culture hobbies inspired by India?

Career progression for PM roles in Tech? I’m on track to be qualified for a Program Manager, Talent/HR/OD position at a tech firm in the next couple years. I understand the pay is solid ($130k+ salary depending on exp. and location) but I’m curious about career progression. Does anyone have experience as a Program Manager, Talent/HR/OD at a competitive tech firm, and with exit opps afterwards? Are we talking Sr Mgr, Director, or VP level positions in industry?

Got to final round at McKinsey in January this year, didn't get an offer but got added to the Keep in Touch list, and the recruiter said I got good feedback but to wait a year before applying again. I started at Deloitte in October; if I decide to go for McKinsey again, is it weird to reach out again in January next year (having only worked for a few months at my current job), or should I go for it?
