Deloitte Moms, I remember seeing in some other bowl that Deloitte gives 200 dollars gift card or vantage points for new moms. I am having trouble finding the information in DeloitteNet or TOD. Are we still getting it or was it a past promotion kind of thing? Appreciate any guidance on this.

Hey ladies- bit of a touchy personal subject. I had my male counterpart recently use a counteroffer that was extended to me to try to push his own raise. Should I feel offended that he's piggybacking off my offer? (We do not have same work balance for context- he has 4 direct reports to my my 1 direct report and the same workload).

A colleague shared with me the presentation they have prepared for their promotion case. I worked with them on multiple projects during the year and I can clearly see that some of the claims on the deck are wild exaggeration or lies. For example, managed changes in scope for Project X including contract changes. Plot twist: there never was a change of scope for Project X and the contract is exactly the same. How can people be so dishonest? How far can you go before truth catching up?
What will you do if you feel like you’re not growing anymore in your career but then organization structure change happened, new manager, new goals and maybe a big chance for promotion? Are you going to look for a new job or stay?
M7 infrastructure in Texas. I'm currently paid near bottom of scale in my group. I'm not upset and love my job and my peers. I have an offer for 40% raise to industry job. I prefer my current work though, both from daily work and career path. But 40% raise is a big deal. At what point is the pay raise more important than daily work joy. I'm stressing over this decision. I don't really want to leave.
Went from wanting to only focus on my career and not even wanting kids to now wanting to be a SAHM while I raise kids and go back into a more relaxed job. Has anyone else had a crazy shift in thinking like that? Been single this whole time, so no one is influenting this
I live in a HCOL city and am still not being paid enough to save/live . I have all of the tools/ skill sets to leave consulting and go into big tech . Before going out to market myself and get a new job should I even ask D for a raise ? I’m frustrated because I’m adding a lot of value to my current engagements and I think I’d have a good business case for a raise. On a side note I see people leaving left and right here which is not a good sign!
If I move into a financial analyst position after two years of audit experience (and 1 promotion) will i likely start at the bottom of the totem pole? Interviewing at McKinsey from a big 4 consulting firm - currently an engagement manager interviewing for an engagement manager role on the partner track - comp at big 4 is currently $165k base, what’s a reasonable amount to ask for at mck? I got an Ivy League exec mba in 2020 as well, which hasn’t yet been reflected in my big 4 comp (we mostly didn’t do raises because of covid last year). Desi ppl , struggling a bit with verbal communication since I moved to US. Sometimes can’t find words during client meeting so do a lot of ‘aaa’s , ‘Kind of’s and ‘sort of’. How can I improve it? I do watch English series a lot and read books but looking for other ideas that may have helped you all . Are there are classes which helps with fluency ?
