I’ve been at my job for four months and am not happy. Is it ok to quit?

I mean, you can, but just be careful not to burn a bridge. And remember - the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Will you really be happy at your next role, or will it be same?

like

I heard someone say once that it takes you 6 months to really settle into a new job and work out the kinks of a new routine, even if the position itself isn't new. So maybe anything in terms of being unhappy in the first six months is just growing pains while you get settles in?

like

Sometimes you need time to adjust to work environment..

like

Yes

Yes same here. I put on papers within 3 months...

You need to understand first few months you can never be happy.

Even if you go next company 90 percent chance it will be same

Nowadays it's easy to put papers so people are just playing on slight discomfort. I hope that's not the case

Is it any specific scenario

This is a really good point.

If you have switched very less companies before , it is OK. otherwise it will give bad impression to the recruiters in future thinking that candidate lacking stability. some companies have this filtering/selecting criteria. I suggest to think in long term aspect and move on.

Absolutely. I never stay anywhere that I am unhappy. Life is too short and we spend way too much time at work to be unhappy there. Find something you love.

Yes, I did switch in 3 months!

Interested to see some perspectives - currently working at a Payroll & Benefits Specialist at a fast growing company and recently passed my PHR! I just started this role only a few months ago but am already feeling like I can take on more, but not as much as a HR manager. I’m struggling to understand where exactly it is I can go from here. I’m 25, have 3 years of experience, and get paid $59k/year.

Where does one go from here? Thanks in advance for any and all answers!
