I've been contacted from a recruiting for Director of Product Development role, but looking at the job description it reads the same a Director Product Management and even reports to the VP or Product as I would expect. Is there a difference that I'm missing or are these positions largely the same?

-manager level role at a better name brand for $176k base, $58k equity per year

-senior manager role at a series F+ start up, fully remote, $185k base, given options worth $38k a year at current valuation, but obviously have to exercise to access. Like the team and role more.

I am reviewing details for a new role within my organization. Looking for ideas on salary alignment. Role is Senior Engineer, Global Engineering working on capital projects, etc. within the chemical, petroleum industries.

I interviewed for an associate position at a mid size firm. I really liked them, but they offered the position to someone else, only giving me an answer on the status of my candidacy after that person accepted.

Is it wrong to assume that they hadn’t rejected me sooner in case others didn’t accept? If so, how can I let the firm know I’d like to be considered for future openings? I used a recruiter, should I have her tell them? Should I contact the interviewers directly?

3. Organization strategy role from one of the top consulting companies (not Big 4)

Which role offers the best exit options? All the offers from US support teams of the companies.

Hey folks- I’m a product manager (tenure wise, a senior analyst) working with a difficult/ stubborn SME (who is tenure wise a manager). He’s closely involved in the product build, and given the extreme hierarchy practiced at McKinsey, often shuts down my product thinking/ideas. He is extremely smart and knows the ins and outs of this problem space, competitors, and even our business priorities, but utterly rejects design and product thinking. For example…CONTD

This is the week where I feel like I’m about to get crushed. Launching a new version of a product and we’re trying to get it ready for use by a customer but we’re behind schedule. Launching a new feature on another product for another customer but we’re getting a lot of bugs and we have a week to ship. Drowning and stressed out.

I’m a JPM (1.5 YOE in 2 companies), background in projects management (5y - 1 company) . Happy with my role (4 months) and on a path to PM in 1y. WLB and comp are ok.

Now recruiters are calling with PM + 20/50% comp increase which is great. But I’m worried changing role could be premature and hinder my long term PM path.

Hello All. I have been operating as a PM for 6 years. I never carried the title because the jobs I worked for gave me other titles: I.e implementation supervisor, Deputy officer, Health Educator. I am enrolled in google's project management Certification course. I will be finishing soon. I have worked on project from waterfall to agile lean six. With that being said, what is a realistic salary expectation I should request?

Any current or former Google PMs here that can provide advice? I have a final round with Google and my recruiter is only considering me for YouTube roles as they are from that org. I have a lot of cloud and SaaS experience and would be a better fit for G.Cloud. I've been trying to get my recruiter to consider me for the cloud vertical as well and they are refusing to do that. Have the opportunity to join a startup consultancy as a Product Manager and move away from the big 4.

Same pay. A LOT of growth opportunity. Less overall benefits, but I think the experience will net me out to be a Director in just a year or two within the org, and a lot of potential to move out from there.

This is for a Product Owner role, felt five interviews was excessive, especially the HR interview. Was told it was down to another candidate and I on 4/27 and final decision would be made on 5/2. Since, recruiter has ghosted me. Have feeling they offered to the other candidate.
