I've been doing freelance work for a while and recently accepted an offer at a larger firm. It's my first time working in an Agile framework. Anyone have any tips for the inevitable awkwardness of meetings?

Honestly just breathe lol I know you’re going to have a stumble here and there but remember that you’re human and a good deep breath will keep you grounded.

Look confident regardless of what you feel on the inside. That’s what I try and do at least and it seems to work for the most part.

Congratulations on the offer! Remember that the odds are everyone feels as awkward as you do.

If you have meeting anxiety, record a video of yourself talking for about half an hour. It will get you used to speaking while having attention focused on you Then review it and see what you actually look like when you talk as well as if you have any weird quirks you don't notice (I found out I stare at the ceiling a lot while thinking). It helped me a lot.

Good tip. I like to re-watch my recorded calls too

Just got an offer for a seven figure salary but imposter syndrome is kicking in overdrive. As a black male, this is a huge oppurtunity and for some reason I feel like I'm going to fail. Just venting and looking from some encouragement if you've been in this space before.

Hey folks, I'm getting an offer as a SC in EY UK. Presently I'm a manager with EY India (up for SM next yr Oct 2021). Comp is 55k range (haven't officially received the figure, a few more days it's expected, doing some homework before that). I'll be moving with family. Wife may not immediately start working (,find a new job, we have a toddler daughter as well 2 YO). I personally don't find this offer commercially attractive. Can someone offer some counter arguments?

Difference between "management consulting" and strategy consulting? I always thought these were the same/maybe strategy was a type of management consulting. What is the difference?

What do y’all think of the new brand platform launch spot for Scotiabank? It’s pretty nicely shot and is all about how everybody wants to give you advice. Advice, advice, advice… it’s everywhere. But don’t fret. Scotiabank has just what you need: more advice.

Hi all. I’m currently re-evaluating my pay at my current job. I have 3 years of exp. recruiting at a temp staffing agency and I’m currently working at a high growth saas company as a Jr Recruiter for almost 9 months. My role is kind of like a mashup role of both a coordinator and a Recruiter. I’m researching my market value. Can anyone provide some insight?

Exit opps for tech consulting if I don't want to do any more implementations? 3 years in and sick of this shit. I have no desire to learn anymore SAP or Oracle and my background isn't even in tech.
