I’ve been drinking 1+ gallons of water per day since wfh started. I can’t go back to the office solely due to the fact that I’ll be leaving my desk 100 times per day to pee

That feels like too much water, aren't you drowning our your electrolytes? Hydration is super important but over a gallon a day without vigorous exercise seems excessive

like

I’m drinking like 48oz a day (plus other beverage/water intake) and waking up to pee. Any more would be downright unpleasant.

I’m pregnant and my doctor told me to drink 1 gallon a day which is very difficult but this includes all fluids e.g coffee, milk, juice. I can’t imagine doing 1 gallon per day voluntarily. However if it’s just your normal drinking and you’re not drowning yourself in water you should be fine. If you’re going every 20-30 mins though you might be drinking too much

This is part of my general strategy to avoid others

Sounds normal to me, I went once every hour anyways because I was drinking a lot of water in the office. I would also get up to stretch

like

Ditto, having a small bladder is a great excuse to get away from your screen and stretch your legs every hour.

Just keep a bottle by your desk.

omg same!!! when i was walking around town the other day i had to stop a few times to pee. it’s over for me. i’m really far from our office bathroom, too.

likefunny

Omg. I used to take really long walks and now I’m having to cut them short to pee (since covid has bathrooms closed too!). I have to obsess about when I leave based on how much I’ve had to drink. I’m hoping it evens out after a while?!?!

like

Do you not pee now? They have diapers that might help if that would help

funny

I assume they also pee, so not sure I would lose sleep over coworkers judging bathroom usage. Just let it flow

Have you noticed any change ever since you started this?

Same here. Was on a 4 hour flight a few weeks ago and peed 3 times. Luckily had an idle seat. And yes, I finished a full Nalgene while on the plane

like

@d1 I bet you’re fun at parties

This is a sign of diabetes. Have you talked with your doctor about it?

like

Interesting. I’ve been peeing once an hour for a decade.

I’ve definitely been called out by my senior for having a small bladder. Sad

I mean I leave my desk once an hour to pee regardless of home or office. Sometimes more, it’s a great reason to walk around and do a few office laps every hour.

I used to do this when I WAS in the office, since we had a cold filtered water thing. Now I drink way less

I don’t belong in my job. I didn’t mind it when I joined in January and was interacting but as we’ve been work from home longer, the less motivation I have. I don’t enjoy the work but I’ve gotten unlucky with my teams too, and can’t remember the last time my manager praised me without a critique. Maybe I’m just bad at my job. At this point I just am doing the bare minimum to not get fired. What do I do? Should I look for a job that I actually would enjoy doing or stick it out?

FTM here and I need to get opinions. I’m back at work remote but in desperate need of childcare. With my husband and I working from home…it’s so crazy trying to manage a 6 month old. So the question is…do you think it’s better to have a nanny or daycare. I want my son to be socialized as much as possible…but then COVID. I am also seeing that nannies are umm kinda pricey too for a long term bid. So just trying to see the general consensus
