I’ve been focusing my after-work efforts on job hunting. Last week a coworker asked me to help her with her resume for a promotion and she needed to turn it in next day. I looked at it and it was a mess. I spent 5 hours on it. I couldn’t job hunt. She wanted to pay me and I said no bc that will sour our friendship. I could have said no to helping anyway. Now she’s like I got a great side money gig for you. My friends need help with their resumes. I’d rather spend time on getting a better job..

I’m an EA with 6+ yrs experience working remote for a very successful Bay Area startup. My salary is 63k.. no health benefits but I do have 401k and unlimited PTO. I reached out and asked for a raise, stating I’ve had recruiters reach out for similar positions ranging 85k-120k (which is100% true).
