I’ve been going 1000 mph for a while but started a new project where things are kicking off a little slow. I’m having a hard time enjoying it and feel guilty knowing all the work will be coming up

The sad thing is I’ve been dreaming of this for so long. Now that it’s here I’m so anxious about what I could be doing.

Way for these consulting firms to entrain a 60+ hour work week as normal to me

Take the time to get ahead on some things without working toooooo hard and you’ll thank yourself later

Agree with above...take some time for you, as well. Take advantage while preparing.

I’m trying to apply for program and project management roles, but the feedback is that I’m not the best fit because I don’t have a PM title. Our jobs are literally PM’ing programs, announcements, goals and events and those are all reflected on my resume. What am I missing? Any former PM’s here?

Have an associate 2 years junior to me with whom I work frequently.. they seem to make an intentional point of not responding to my emails (but promptly responds to client, partner, etc), but 75 percent of time will eventually do what I ask. It has become a distraction. Generally I get good upward reviews - I’m respectful of juniors and expect them to have a life, etc. I’m unsure why the passive aggression. Any tips on handling or do I have to just deal with it? I’m worried about a confrontation

Did I just open myself up to a lawsuit for employee poaching? A former colleague of mine (I was their mentor & project lead, not her boss) has been wanting to leave since around the time I left. In conversations as friends I’ve told them about my job and how I miss working with them and that no matter where they went next I’d be a reference and stay a mentor. I said things like the minute I can hire someone, you’ll be my first call… (continued in comments)

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. Tips for joining a team that the client already dislikes?

Started software development apprenticeship around a month ago, for the first few weeks my manager (unaware of the adhd) basically had me sit down and watch videos what he believes are relevant subjects (all during office hours 9-5). I'd basically got to the point where I would get home after the day and have no memory of anything that had happened. I finally got given a real project last week and have learned so much from the practical element of it, he now wants me watching more videos.

Advice Please
It's been 4month with the team with no manager. I recently joined the organization and the team I am part of is headed by a lead and one analyst.
So being a new member as Sr.Data Analyst I sometimes have to report to analyst. Considering the fact that he has been part of the team for past 1 year and sometimes he sounds like lead as he is leading some project.
On other hand my manager is continuously asking me take lead in project and try to reduce dependency on that analyst.

Hey everyone. So recently applied to the GS Early Careers Program in their Salt Lake City office. I did my HireVue and now have a Superday this Thursday for 3 positions, same division. After getting my Superday invite email, I got another email from the recruiter asking me to complete the compensation questionnaire. Is this usually customary or is that a good sign that I'll be getting an offer? Would appreciate any insight

Mentioned to my boss this week that I had reached burnout & that I was beginning to consider my options. I have received offers recently 50K above what I make now & communicated that. On Friday they said their boss would be touching base with me next week. I am in above average standing with the company & received a good annual raise earlier this year. The issue is I took the job below my market value to get out of a much worse job 2 years ago. Realistic outcomes for my upcoming meeting?
