I’m waiting for my background check as I accepted an offer for Remote Licensed Insurance Customer Service Rep. While I’m a 1099 for my current role, I still haven’t told them I am leaving for a full time role that can change my life. It’s a small agency, and I’ve gotten close with the director. She’s the employment reference I gave; I’m a nervous that when they receive the call to verify employment, my days will be difficult. I’d hate to be let go before I start with LM. Thoughts? I kinda disagree with going to claims. I started out in claims and moved to UW. When I was in claims (WC) the case load was unmanageable. Im currently in group benefits, we have peak seasons but it pretty manageable. That’s just my experience.
Since you have an insurance background, maybe something in claims would be more your speed. Definitely less pressure in terms of production.

Claims or audit
Claims for sure! A lot less pressure and a lot less stressful I would think, although I never did underwriting.
Thanks for the replies. I don’t know if there is a job in claims where I could make what I’m currently making in life underwriting. Any thoughts/ideas on transitioning to a different field with my experience?
