I’ve been in the same city for too long and want to move, but my agency is getting into a hybrid model. I feel like I missed the timeframe to jump cities during covid and need advice on how to navigate the conversation with my manager. Has anyone been able to do this recently without having to get a new job?

you need to give your manager a compelling reason to do it. you may have better luck finding a new job in a different city and getting them to help with the move

Gotcha, this is what I’ve been hearing consistently. I’ve also tried looking for some new jobs but sounds like I should keep looking.

Do people realize that it is risky for an employer to have you on payroll if you aren’t vaccinated? If you get sick, they have to grant you leave and all that. So beyond the other staff, it’s risky to have someone employed and risk they end up with Covid because they will be short on labor. So it’s not unreasonable for an employer to require a vaccine to protect headcount.
