I’ve been in usdc for less than a year and I like the work for the most part but I’m really feeling not great about my salary. If I found a competing offer do you think usdc leadship would try to retain me given I’ve been here for such a short amount of time?

You need to leave and come in as a senior solution specialist for like 120 if you want the big bucks. It’ll take you forever to hit those numbers if you come in a slowly work your way up. Companies are hiring like crazy and its pretty obvious if you look around that Deloitte doesn’t treat USDC with respect and they try to hire visa workers who get stuck there and can’t leave.

D1 spittin facts, I’ve been here a while and have realized it’s a modern day sweatshop with visa slaves. USDC doesn’t want to raise your salary because they pay the visa folks on the lower band and want to keep it that way. If you want to raise your Deloitte salary, leave and come back, that’s the only way….otherwise you’ll waste years trying to work up the ladder.

Almost certainly not tbh.

I’m in the same boat as you except I’m a year and half in now. They moved me up to a Tech Lead role earlier this year but they haven’t changed my title or my pay. I’ve been talking to recruiters from other companies and they’re looking to offer me a significantly higher pay. If Deloitte can’t keep up with their offers then I’m out. No point in letting Deloitte string me along further only to disappoint me when my pay raise is still going to be less than what other companies can offer me.

Worried that this A.) could result in staying much longer than planned B.) would still ultimately result in crazy consulting hours and C.) wouldn't go as smoothly as idealized
