I’ve been interviewing with a company and they set me up interview with an outside analyst they work with. Anyone ever done that or have any tips?

Currently in finance ops group at a PE shop in Canada. In late stages of interview process w GS in NYC for similar role but at the Associate level. All indications point to an offer being imminent but I have concerns with 1) title (junior VP’s in the group have +1/-1 YOE than me, 2) base feels a bit light given I have 9+ YOE (job description says top end is US$160K)…Nervous for a change as current role is very comfy but nothing ever grows in comfort zones. Thoughts?

A few months ago, I changed consulting firms and have regretted it. I have been interviewing again, hoping this time to find a better fit & exit consulting. I also moved 2 weeks ago. I’ve been feeling very unsettled lately and unlike myself. I know it’s all of the change in such a short amount of time. But it’s making me feel like I’m a stranger to myself & that I’m alone. Has anyone else gone through similar feelings? I’m missing comfort, stability, and familiarity but I don’t have those now.

Recruiter lied about interview process and job type. First interview goes well and interviewer tried to schedule me for in-person interview first thing next morning. I tried to push off into next week and was told it wouldn’t work with timeline. Everything was supposed to be remote, should I keep it moving and go somewhere else?

I was offered a promotion but due to internal policies the max comp they could offer was way under market value. I countered and was denied. I took time to think about it, being disappointed I applied for other jobs. Monday came and I decided to accept the offer. A week before starting my new position I got a call for one of the jobs I applied for. I am now going through to the last round of interviews the same week I start my new position. Would it be bad practice to accept another offer now?

I'm so proud! On the last day before break, my class of mostly reluctant readers read to a kindergarten class and they were amazing. I never saw them so animated or with such big smiles on their faces! I feel grateful and blessed.
