Need help from Amazon 🐠 Anyone interviewed for Amazon L5 BIE in GSF supply chain team? The JD said basic qualifications include data modeling, ETL, data warehousing and optimization. Any idea or experience how they will test these topics? Asking about related experience? Or show some data and ask how you will deal with that? Or like a case study, given a senario and ask how you think in order to tackle problem? Need advice/idea/experience urgently. Thanks in advance.Amazon @BIE

I have a field in excel that represents the GSID, that I want to concatenate to create a link. Example field GSID is 123-west and the link needs to be www.website/123_west.html for some reason using concatenate with left & right formulas to switch - to _ results in the field throwing an error. Anyone knows of a way to make this work?

My company is interviewing right now. The PMM org all loved one certain candidate but our top level leadership is asking us to find more of a unicorn. We trust that the person we all liked can crush the job, but we are continuing with interviews to appease the higher up. They’re in a position where they’re feeling pressure and are judging too harshly by what’s on the resume and not enough on grit and how experiences can be interchangeable and formal education doesn’t mean everything. Stick it out, you may not know what is happening behind the scenes. People may be fighting for you. I am typically one to be on the candidate’s side here… the faster you know the better. But sometimes it’s not that black and white.
Thank you so much! Really appreciate this

Just my two cents, but it sounds like they want to continue shopping around for better candidates. And you’re being strung along as a backup in case things don’t work out in their search.
Or potentially, there could be some hiring freeze in place or restructuring to determine whether they actually need to fill this position. I’ve seen this happen a lot lately. And it’s really shitty that this company isn’t being fully transparent with you.
Either way, I’m guessing there’s no urgency to fill the role immediately so they will continue to drag their feet at your expense.
I'm starting a new job tomorrow that I applied for in November and interviewed in February. It's all relative. Depends how much you want the job right.
I'd say you should start looking for other roles.
Get another competing offer and tell them you have a hard deadline
It sounds like a bad sign to me. I agree with another poster that they may be stringing you along. Keep applying other places and if you do hear back from this company, great.
I'd reach out and let them know that you're anticipating receiving a few more offers, but that they're your first choice. If you're a top candidate, that should get things moving a little bit faster.
I already tried that, and the answer I received was that the interviewer feedback was “very positive” but that they’re just trying to cover all their bases and make sure they come to the right decision. Not sure how to take that news honestly
Are you me? I’ve been in talks with a company for over 2 months now. It took weeks between each of the three interview rounds to hear about the next step. They called me yesterday to ask me about my salary requirements and told me everyone I interviewed with had positive feedback… after hearing nothing for 3 weeks.
I’m trying not to judge the product/tech org too much based on the recruiting/talent org, but I don’t think it is a good sign about the company for something to drag on like this!
I am unhappy at my current role but also am not in a good situation to spend time looking for another job. This current prospective company contacted me through a friend which is why I took the call.
We’ll, good luck to you. Hope it speeds up. Being in limbo sucks.
Plot Twist: Both you and PMM are fighting for the same job.
